Kansas moved up three spots to No. 15 and Wichita State gained one place to No. 5 in the latest Associated Press college basketball poll Monday.

The Shockers survived a scare at Missouri State on Saturday night and remained unbeaten at 17-0. No. 1 Arizona, No. 2 Syracuse and No. 3 Wisconsin are the only other unbeaten teams in Division I. Wichita State was last in the top five when it was ranked No. 2 in the Dec. 29, 1981 poll.

The Jayhawks, 11-4, won their first two Big 12 games and face No. 8 Iowa State on Monday night in Ames.

Missouri and Kansas State both fell from the polls after conference losses. The Tigers lost their opener to Georgia before winning at Auburn and the Wildcats lost to KU in Lawrence on Saturday.

Five Big 12 teams are ranked. Besides KU and Iowa State, Oklahoma State is ninth, Baylor is No. 12 and Oklahoma is tied for No. 25. The SEC has two teams ranked: No. 7 Florida and No. 13 Kentucky.

Arizona and Syracuse remain Nos. 1 and 2 in the poll.
