A man shot another man to death Tuesday afternoon after a dispute in a grocery store parking lot in the Northeast area of Kansas City.

Police were called about 1:15 p.m. to the Price Chopper at 5800 Wilson Road, where officers found the 21-year-old victim on the west side of the business. He later died at a hospital, said police Capt. Tye Grant. Police did not release his name.

A security guard detained a possible suspect for police. That man remained in custody Tuesday, Grant said.
