Merriam house fire forces family into sub-zero temperatures

A fire Monday morning forced a family out of their Merriam house into sub-zero temperatures.

The fire was reported shortly after 6 a.m. in the 5800 block of Woodward Street in Merriam. Firefighters quickly brought it under control.

Four people and a dog escaped from the house, according to media reports.

No injuries were reported, according dispatchers.
