Overland Park man dies in Leawood accident

A 51-year-old Overland Park man died Friday after the vehicle he was driving struck a tree and overturned near 95th Street and Lee Boulevard in Leawood.

Police said the accident happened just before the afternoon rush hour. A nurse who was passing by found the man unresponsive and administered CPR along with the first officer on the scene. The man was transported to a hospital, where he died. His name was not immediately released.

Leawood police are asking anyone who saw the accident to contact the traffic unit at 913-663-9333.
