Man in his 20s shot to death in KC’s first homicide of 2014

Kansas City police are investigating a Wednesday night shooting that resulted in the city’s first homicide of 2014.

Officers were called to an apartment building in the 4000 block of Harvard Circle about 8 p.m. and found a man in his mid-20s who had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.

Witnesses told police they saw two possible suspects running from the building immediately after the shooting. Police ask anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (816-474-8477).
