• WHEN/WHERE: 2 p.m. today at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kan.

• TV/RADIO: Fox Sports Kansas City; KCTE (1510 AM)

• ABOUT GEORGE WASHINGTON (11-1): The Colonials are off to one of the best starts in program history with victories over Miami, Creighton, Rutgers and Maryland. Their only loss came against Marquette. George Washington averages 77.7 points and makes 47.7 percent of its shots.

• ABOUT KANSAS STATE (9-3): The Wildcats have won seven in a row after a slow start, beating Gonzaga and Mississippi along the way. A victory over George Washington would make them 7-0 in December. Guard Jevon Thomas played for the first time last week, against Tulane, and should again play an important role today. Foster, Southwell and Gipson are all averaging more than 10 points a game.
