Updated: 2013-12-28T03:34:32Z

An attempted robbery Friday night ended after a chase and five people were taken into custody, Kansas City police said.

The driver of a vehicle that met the description in the attempted robbery near 32nd Street and Karnes Boulevard led police on a chase about 8:30 p.m. that went from Main Street and Armour Road to 55th Street and Bruce Watkins Drive, as far west as Wornall Road and back again to 66th Street and the Paseo. Police soon had five people, four of them juveniles, in custody.

One officer had a minor injury to the arm.

The incident was unrelated to a reported assault on four officers at about the same time by a subject believed to be on PCP near 70th Street and Agnes Avenue. The officers were not injured.
