Ed Brown, the agent for former Navy fullback Eric Kettani, confirmed a report that his client will be signed to the Chiefs' practice squad Tuesday, pending a physical.

The news was first reported by the National Football Post.

Kettani, a 26-year old lieutenant in the Navy reserve. went undrafted in 2009 and spent last year on Washington's practice squad. He was waived by Washington in August.

Kettani has never appeared in a regular-season NFL game. The Chiefs currently have the maximum of eight players on their practice squad, which means someone would need to be released to make room for Kettani.

A spokesman for the Chiefs had no comment.
