Cause still unknown in Kansas City church blaze

Updated: 2013-12-19T23:52:30Z

Federal fire investigators said Thursday they could not determine the cause of a Sunday blaze that destroyed an East Side area church in Kansas City.

The fire gutted the Miracle Temple Pentecostal Church near 41st Street and Indiana Avenue. A spokesman for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said that although investigators had completed their work at the scene, the investigation could continue if new information warrants.

Anyone with information about the fire can contact the ATF 1-888-ATF-FIRE (1-888-283-3473).
