Updated: 2013-12-19T22:06:18Z

Prosecutors accused a Raymore man Thursday of killing a man during a robbery-gone-bad in Kansas City last year.

They charged Devan Richardson, 21, with second-degree murder, attempted robbery and two counts of armed criminal action in connection with the Dec. 23, 2012, incident near 88th Terrace and Crystal Lane.

According to court documents, Richardson and the victim, Samuel Clark, planned to rob two people of marijuana and cash. A gun fight broke out during the robbery, and Clark was wounded fatally. Police arrested Richardson in an apartment near the scene, court records say.
