— A man named Noel has been arrested after climbing a tree decorated with Christmas lights on the New Haven Green in New Haven, Conn.

The electricity for the lights was cut as police and firefighters responded to the scene after 42-year-old Noel Delgado climbed the tree shortly before noon Wednesday.

Delgado had two banners in the tree and New Haven Police Lt. Jeff Hoffman told the New Haven Register he was shouting about various causes. Officers talked with him and persuaded him to climb down.

Delgado was charged with breach of peace.

A phone number was not listed for Delgado at his New Haven address.
