Kevin Wong’s new Thai restaurant was set to open in early 2013.

But problems with the remodeling had him ripping it out and starting over, pushing the opening way back.

He’s been more involved with this remodeling. This morning he was up on a ladder, paint brush in hand.

Lemongrass is now looking at a late January opening at 7316 W. 80th St. It will offer made-from-scratch Thai cuisine using fresh ingredients, many from the nearby Farmers Market.

A small bar will be in front. The dining area will be in back, down a wide hallway with doors looking into an open kitchen. The dining area also will have large windows looking out onto the Farmers Market.

The space formerly housed Intentions, a sushi restaurant and live music venue.
