Kansas City beer lovers should mark their 2014 calendars for June 13-15 — and not just because it’s Father’s Day weekend.

Today Boulevard Brewing Company announced Boulevardia, a new annual street festival in the West Bottoms.

Plans for Boulevardia include a craft beer festival, food samples from Kansas City chefs, live music, art, information on sustainability and cycling, and a variety of handmade goods from local artisans.

The three-day festival will take place near the 12th Street viaduct in the West Bottoms. Boulevard chose that part of Kansas City because “the eclectic spaces and unique venues captured the spirit of the event,” says marketing director Jeremy Ragonese.

Boulevardia’s main event will be the craft beer festival, set for Saturday, June 14. Samples of beer from local, national and international breweries will be on tap at the festival.

Ragonese says Boulevard has been planning Boulevardia for the past two years.

Prices for general admission and beer festival tickets haven’t been released yet, but Ragonese says more details will be available starting next month.

Check the official Boulevardia website, boulevardia.com, for updates.
