SUV slams into Missouri radio station

Updated: 2013-12-16T14:55:52Z

— An icy patch of roadway is blamed for an accident that caused a sport utility vehicle to drive into the front of an eastern Missouri radio station studio.

The Daily Journal newspaper in Park Hills, Mo., reports that the accident happened Friday night at radio stations KFMO and B104 in Park Hills.

Authorities say 16-year-old Gavon McAllister lost control of his SUV after hitting ice on the roadway. The vehicle went off the road and through the front door and wall of the radio station.

McAllister was alone in the vehicle and was unhurt. No one was in the radio station building at the time.

Both KFMO and B104 remained on the air, but the offices remain closed until repairs are made.

Park Hills is about 65 miles south of St. Louis.
