Man shot in Kansas City disturbance dies

A man shot during a disturbance last week at a Kansas City convenience store has died from his injuries, police said Wednesday.

Aaron Dean, 50, was hospitalized after a man shot him shot several times about 10:40 p.m. Dec. 2 outside the Conoco at 4341 the Paseo. He died Sunday.

Witnesses told police Dean argued with a man inside the store before both walked outside, continuing their disturbance. Witnesses then heard several gunshots. Dean staggered back into the store, saying, “He shot me.”

Bullets hit Dean in the shoulder, side and back, police said. Police were still investigating. Detectives did not release a motive or detailed suspect description.
