Police have canceled a Silver Alert for a missing 65-year-old Kansas City man after he was found and returned home Tuesday.

Police issued the alert for Anthony Stillwell Tuesday morning after he disappeared Sunday night from his Kansas City apartment.

Stillwell, who has been diagnosed with dementia and schizophrenia, was last seen by his wife at 9:30 p.m. Sunday. When she woke up about midnight, she discovered that he was not in their apartment at 1749 Kansas Ave.

His wife reported him missing when he didn’t return by Monday night.

Kansas City police announced on Twitter that Stillwell had been found and returned home.
