Updated: 2013-12-09T19:38:35Z

In the market for a 1969 El Camino SS, or a Kenworth wrecker equipped with a sleeper studio cab, refrigerator, pull-down bed and sunroof? The Internal Revenue Service wants to deal.

The IRS will hold two public auctions in Shawnee on Wednesday to sell a range of vehicles that it seized for nonpayment of taxes.

Both auctions will be held at Lindsay’s Auctions, 4795 Frisbie Road.

At 10 a.m., the IRS will auction three wreckers, including a Kenworth Construct 900 starting at a minimum bid of $12,000.

The car auction is scheduled for 11 a.m. It will include snow removal equipment and plows, pickups, dump trucks and other vehicles.

All items can be previewed Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and before the auction on Wednesday. Bidder registration begins Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
