You wouldn’t think that twerk-happy Miley Cyrus would have much in common with Pope Francis. But there they are, together, on Time magazine’s list of finalists for “Person of the Year” honors.

The results will be revealed Wednesday on the “Today” show, but Miley already seems a front-runner for the award.

She’ll have to beat out not only the pope, but President Obama, Sen. Ted Cruz, Kathleen Sebelius, whistleblower Edward Snowden, Syria’s president, Iran’s president, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and marriage equality advocate Edie Windsor.

Our money’s on Miley, who was twerking up against a very bad Santa Friday night at the KIIS FM Jingle Ball at the Staples Center in L.A.
