Pearl Harbor observance will be held Saturday in Mission

Updated: 2013-12-06T23:20:43Z

Kansas City area Pearl Harbor ceremonies begin at 11:15 a.m. Saturday in Mission.

Three area Pearl Harbor survivors will be introduced and interviewed at the Sylvester Powell Jr. Community Center, 6200 Martway St.

One moment of silence is scheduled at 11:55 a.m., the time in Kansas City when the attack began. A second moment of silence will be held for Jesse Dunnagan, an area survivor who died earlier this year.

The event is free and the public is invited.
