Armed man robs Overland Park credit union

A man armed with a handgun robbed an Overland Park credit union Thursday morning.

The robber escaped with an undisclosed amount of money after the holdup just after 10 a.m. at the New Century Credit Union, 9201 W. 87th St., according to the FBI.

Witnesses described the robber as a skinny black man wearing black-framed glasses and carrying a black book bag. He was about six feet tall and approximately 30 years old.

He wore a navy stocking cap, a black bubble style/puffy jacket, red sweat pants and black gloves.
