Suspects sought in Overland Park mall robbery

Updated: 2013-12-04T20:24:53Z

Overland Park police have released surveillance photos of suspects in the Thanksgiving armed robbery at Oak Park Mall.

Police said a woman was robbed of her purse as she walked to her car near the mall food court on Thanksgiving night.

One of the two suspects was armed with a handgun, and surveillance video showed them leaving the mall in a dark SUV, possibly a GMC Yukon driven by a third person, according to Overland Park police.

The suspects were later seen using the victim’s credit cards at a store in Kansas City. Police said the suspects tried to take several carts full of electronics from that store, but were stopped by security.

Anyone who can help identify the suspects is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
