Here comes winter: Kansas City area temps begin slow drop

Updated: 2013-12-04T16:49:48Z

After hitting a balmy 43 Wednesday morning, temperatures will do a steady drop through the day.

The National Weather Service says to expect temps in the mid-30s by 5 p.m. and down into the mid-20s by 10 p.m.

Thursday's high will be in the mid-20s during the day, dropping into the teens overnight.

It's the same story Friday and into the weekend -- highs in the mid-20s, lows in the teens -- with a chance of snow falling Saturday night and Sunday.

Early next week? Highs in the mid-20s and lows in the teens.
