— A brief programming note for Kansas fans in the Kansas City area: KU’s game against Wake Forest at 2:30 p.m. Thursday will be broadcast on AXS, which isn’t available on Time Warner Cable or Comcast in the Kansas City area.

The AXS network was formerly called HD Net.

The matchup, which is part of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament, should be available in the Kansas City area on, AT&T U-verse, SureWest and satellite providers. If Kansas wins on Thursday, it will play the winner of Villanova-Southern California on Friday on the NBC Sports Network, which is widely available in Kansas City. The Jayhawks’ third game on Saturday would also be on NBC Sports Network.

Last summer, Kansas signed a deal with Time Warner Cable to exclusively show its six Jayhawk Network games on the Time Warner Cable SportsChannel in the Kansas City area. But the television rights to the following three games in the Bahamas belong to the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament.
