The Washington National Cathedral should rethink a decision to start charging tourists an admission fee.

The practice would begin in 2014 in the nations capital as a way to raise money to help the church in the nations capital raise badly needed money, The Associated Press reports. Children would pay $6 and adults $10.
Its almost a pay-to-pray cost for the people who go to see the church but may have a word or two with God while they are there. Admission would be free on Sundays and for those whose open intention is to pray on weekdays.
The National Cathedral is raising money to cover the $26 million damage from a 2011 earthquake.
