Ball Star video: Fielder's most memorable Royals moment

It’s fair to say that Wednesday’s Prince Fielder-Ian Kinsler trade stoked the hot stove.

Wow. It’s hard to imagine a bigger deal than that coming down the pike this winter, but who knows?

After signing as a free agent with the Tigers before the 2012 season, Fielder had great success against the Royals. In two seasons in Detroit, Fielder played in 37 games against the Royals and hit .321 (43-134) with eight doubles, six home runs, 25 RBIs, 18 walks and 17 strikeouts.

Of course, that’s not what Royals fans will remember most, as George Weston noted on Twitter. No, it’s this awesome play when the Royals gunned down Fielder at the plate to preserve a 1-0 victory (there are lots of angles on this MLB.com video):
