Lee’s Summit police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who has been stealing money meant for a children’s charity.

He has taken Children’s Miracle Network donation boxes from stores in Excelsior Springs, Leavenworth and Lee’s Summit, police said.

Lee’s Summit police on Tuesday released surveillance photos of the man, who was wearing an Olathe East sweatshirt, and the dark, four-door Saturn that police believe he has been driving.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lee’s Summit police at 816-969-1752.
