Water district wins approval of bond issue

A water district serving the Lee’s Summit area won approval from nearly 63 percent of voters on Nov. 5 to issue $3 million in revenue bonds to improve the water system.

Public Water Supply District No. 13 of Jackson County will repay the bonds through water district revenue. The vote was 735 to 438 in favor. A simple majority was required.
