Police arrest 25 drivers for DUI at KC checkpoint

Kansas City police arrested 25 drivers for drunk driving at a sobriety checkpoint late Friday and into Saturday at a downtown intersection.

Police stopped 547 cars at 13th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies assisted in the checkpoint which ran from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Officers also arrested two drivers for suspended or revoked licenses, six for hazardous driving and one for marijuana possession.
