Five people rushed to the hospital following two-vehicle crash near Gardner

Moonlight Road in both directions was closed at West 159th Street for a while Friday morning after a crash injured five people.

Two vehicles collided shortly before 6:30 a.m. at the intersection. Five people were injured in the crash. Two of the people had moderate to serious injuries.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office tweeted that the intersection was closed so the crash could be investigated. It reopened shortly before 9 a.m.
