Multiple wrecks along I-35 create major rush-hour delays in Johnson County

Multiple wrecks along northbound Interstate 35 created major delays for drivers in Johnson County Friday morning.

Two accidents were reported near 75th Street.

The first one was reported about 6:35 a.m. and forced two lanes closed. Shortly after that, two vehicles collided nearby.

Shortly thereafter, two vehicles collided near 95th Street.

The crashes created a huge backup along I-35 as motorists inched their way past the crashes. Motorists were being warned to be prepared to stop.

Meanwhile, a two vehicle crash shortly before 7 a.m. forced three lanes of westbound Interstate 435 to close just past I-35.
