Lenexa bank robbed

A man with a nylon stocking over his face robbed the Bank of America branch in Lenexa on Thursday and fled with cash, according to federal authorities.

The robbery happened in the 7700 block of Quivira Road about 1 p.m. According to initial reports, the man brandished a handgun and demanded money from a teller. The man took the money and fled west on foot. No injuries were reported.
