Can’t make up your mind? Televised debates can help in presidential races, researchers claim

University of Missouri researchers say televised political debates between presidential candidates are helpful for moderate voters, who use the exchanges to make up their minds.

Ben Warner and Mitchell McKinney conducted the survey, which examined voter reactions in several different presidential cycles.
