Video: KU’s Tarik Black, Joel Embiid discuss the Jayhawks’ growth

— Kansas has one final tune-up before beginning its regular season against Louisiana Monroe on Friday at Allen Fieldhouse.

The Jayhawks will take the floor against Fort Hays State at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in their second and final exhibition game. Last Tuesday, Kansas routed Pittsburg State 97-57 in a game that was a lot sloppier than the score indicated.

The Jayhawks committed 27 fouls against the Gorillas, the most in exhibition play since KU was whistled for 28 fouls against Washburn in 2008. Some of the issue, of course, was new rules that more closely regulate hand-checking and contact on the perimeter. But KU coach Bill Self still spent the last week focusing on defense in practice.
