Someone needs to come up with a special Oscar for this 10-month-old Canadian baby who cries, laughs and cries again when her mother sings Rod Stewart to her. The YouTube video of her performance has gone viral, capturing nearly 4 million views since last week.

Every time Amanda Leroux sings Rod Stewart’s “My Heart Can’t Tell You No,” to her daughter, Mary Lynne, the baby’s eyes flood with tears.

“No one can explain why, not even I,” Amanda told “I can sing any other song and do not get the same reaction from her. It’s too adorable to keep all to ourselves.”

Reactions to the video are all over the board, from people critiquing the mom’s singing to her, uh, parenting choices.

“She made me cry awwww.”

“It makes me sad. Stop crying baby doll.”

“The mom knows the baby cries and is distressed when she sings this song ... and continues to sing the song? On more than one occasion? What a sorry excuse for a mother. Emotional torture of an infant. Charming.”
