Granite Falls, a serene enclave with a Shawnee location, will soon have 11 new homes under construction to replace the numerous inventory homes that sold this year.

The new inventory homes will include award-winning, popular reverse 11/2-story and two-story plans. Rodrock Homes will soon be breaking ground on three homes, Bickimer Construction Inc. will be building two, as will Don Julian Builders and Lambie Custom Homes. John W. Stewart Construction Company Inc. and S & R Hawkins Enterprises Inc. will each have one new home underway before the end of the year.
Many of these new inventory homes will have lake views and all of the reverse 11/2-story plans have the master suite and one other bedroom on the main level with two additional bedrooms on the lower level.
Other builders in Granite Falls are Pfieffer Homes, James Engle Custom Homes LLC and Summit Custom Homes LLC.
What is driving such strong sales? Granite Falls offers the complete package for today’s homeowner: a prime location, lakefront home sites and quality custom-built homes.
“Buyers have been purchasing inventory homes before they are finished,” said Cory Stewart, who markets the community with Krissy Kempinger and Jennifer Rich for Weichert, Realtors Graham-Welch LLC. “At the beginning of the year we had 22 inventory homes under construction and almost all are currently sold. Many custom homes also have been built this year.”
Because of this flurry of activity, fewer than 10 home sites remain for custom-built homes. However, buyers still can select the type of site they prefer, whether it’s walkout, daylight or flat, with or without trees. But that variety may not last long, given this year’s sale pace.
Homes are priced from the mid $300,000s to the $600,000s. A wide variety of stylish homes are sprinkled throughout Granite Falls’ rolling terrain including reverse 11/2-story, 11/2-story and two-story homes.
“Our builders will build homes to suit all of a homeowner’s wants and needs,” Stewart said. “If you can imagine it, our builders can build it.”
The homes have all of the amenities today’s buyers are seeking: granite counters; tile backsplashes; custom cabinets; hardwoods; iron stair spindles; master suites with tiled bathrooms, showers and soaking tubs; covered outdoor living spaces, three-car garages and more.
Not only are homeowners confident in the quality of their home, they also know that it’s truly one-of-a-kind. Granite Falls prides itself on being a custom rather than a cookie-cutter community, an architectural variety that’s immediately noticeable as prospective homeowners tour the area.
Additionally, the homes aren’t just beautiful, they’re functional, too.
“We place a high priority on functional floor plans,” Stewart said. “We want to create spaces that residents truly enjoy.”
Rich said this year’s Fall Parade of Homes brought a huge number of visitors to Granite Falls and a great amount of buyer interest.
