Missouri: Josh Shewmaker

SCHOOL: Pleasant Hill

YEAR: Senior

Shewmaker continues to steer the ship for a Pleasant Hill offense averaging 40.3 points per game. Shewmaker, a senior quarterback, had arguably his best performance to date last week in a 41-26 victory over Excelsior Springs. He passed for 148 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for 155 yards and two more touchdowns. The Roosters are 8-0 heading into a showdown on Friday at Harrisonville.

Kansas: Jordan Brown

SCHOOL: Olathe East

YEAR: Senior

After losing two of their first three games by a combined five points, the Olathe East Hawks have strung together four straight victories. Their latest, a 56-14 win against Blue Valley North, came courtesy of Brown, who rushed for four touchdowns and 218 yards on only 15 carries. That's 14.5 yards per carry. Brown will try to keep the momentum going on Friday against Blue Valley Northwest.
