Pro-sales tax committee goes over $1.5 million mark

Children’s Mercy Hospital has given $100,000 to the Committee for Research Treatments and Cures, the committee supporting the half-cent Jackson County sales tax for medical research.

That appears to put the committee over the $1.5 million mark. It had raised $1,009,705 million at the end of September, and has now added $569,000 this month.
