Blog ranks Olathe as fourth-hardest-working midsize city

Updated: 2013-10-10T16:58:14Z

In an announcement that will draw pride in the heart of Johnson County and shouts for a recount elsewhere, a real estate blog has named Olathe as the fourth-hardest-working midsize city in the U.S.

That’s right. Olathe. At least according to the numbers crunched by the blog by Movoto Real Estate.

The city beat out No. 31 Overland Park, No. 38 Des Moines and No. 45 Kansas City.

The blog determined the hardest working mid-sized cities by ranking them on the percent of people working more than 35 hours a week, the unemployment rate, commute time and the number of working parents.
