Obamacare will be explained at Kansas City forum

Updated: 2013-10-09T01:49:24Z

The NAACP Kansas City and AARP are sponsoring a public forum this week in Kansas City to explain the Affordable Care Act.

“With all the negative press about the new health care law, it will be good to get some straight facts into the discussion,” said NAACP branch president Anita L. Russell. “The African-American community, indeed all Americans, need to have the correct information about this health law, particularly now when there is so much misinformation being circulated.”

The forum will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center and State Museum, 3700 Blue Parkway. It is free and open to everyone.
