Don’t forget the ‘where’

A reader sent me email to compliment the cover story in Wednesday’s edition of the new 816 North news magazine about community centers in the area. However, he pointed out one detail he found lacking:

“We're still new to the area and it would be nice to know which of the ones (the reporter) wrote about is closest to us. (Gladstone, I think.) A small box with addresses on p. 1 or 2 of the article would have been very helpful. Maybe the 816 editor knows where all these places are but we sure don't.”

Readers often let me know when a story misses the who, what, when or where. I agree with this reader: An info box would have been helpful, as would a locator map.
