Two faith-based titles, ‘Grace Unplugged’ and ‘Red Wing,’ open this week

These films also are scheduled to open today, but were not screened for critics:

•  “Grace Unplugged”: A teenage Christian singer/songwriter (Amanda “A.J.” Michalka, above) defies her family to find fame as a pop superstar in this faith-based film. Also starring Kevin Pollak and Shawnee Smith. Rated PG | Time: 1:42

•  “Red Wing”: An orphan (Glen Powell) tries to maintain his integrity while growing up in a small Texas town. This Terrence Malick-produced story is based on the George Sand novella “Francois le Champi.” Also starring Bill Paxton, Luke Perry and Frances Fisher. Unrated | Time: 1:48
