Ross Dress for Less will open soon in the Northland.

A store, in Barrywoods Crossing, 8331 N.W. Roanridge Road, plans a grand opening at 9 a.m. Oct. 12. Stein Mart formerly operated in the space. The new store will give away $1,000 in Ross Dress for Less gift cards from Oct. 12 to Oct. 20 — one $500 card and five $100 cards.

Ross offers “first-quality” in-season, name-brand and designer apparel, accessories and footwear for the entire family, along with home fashions. It says its customers save 20 percent to 60 percent off regular department and specialty store prices.

Another Ross Dress for Less also is planned for The Shoppes at Liberty Triangle in Liberty, but no opening date was available.

Ross Dress for Less also has area locations in Blue Springs, Independence, and Olathe.
