Courtney Robinson

SCHOOL: Basehor-Linwood

YEAR: Sophomore

SPORT: Volleyball

Robinson is the first player to toe the service line for Basehor-Linwood in every match. In the second set of a match Saturday against Turner, she was also the last. A sophomore setter, Robinson opened the set at the service line and never moved, successfully serving 25 straight points in a 25-8, 25-0 sweep of Turner in the Louisburg Invitational. She recorded five aces along the way. Basehor-Linwood, 16-8, placed third in the tournament.

Cole Roberts

SCHOOL: Liberty North

YEAR: Senior

SPORT: Swimming

Roberts swam the 100 butterfly in 53.3 seconds last week, the top time this season in Kansas City and the third best mark in the state. That represents more of the same for Roberts, who already owns the state's fastest 50 freestyle time (21.67 seconds) and its fourth-best 100 freestyle time (48.46 seconds). Roberts placed fourth in the 50 freestyle and seventh in the 100 freestyle last season at the state championship meet.
