McCluster had an 89-yard punt return for a touchdown Sunday in the Chiefs 31-7 win over the Giants. With the return, which occurred with his team leading 10-7 in the third quarter, McCluster not only rewarded the Chiefs for their patience, he also emboldened the Arrowhead Stadium crowd and helped put the Giants away in the second half.
It was McClusters first punt-return touchdown since 2010, his rookie year, and the longest in the NFL this season.
This marks the second time McCluster has won the award in his career. He last won it as a rookie in September 2010, when he returned a punt 94 yards for a touchdown in the Chiefs season-opening 21-14 victory over San Diego.
