— Missouri’s men’s basketball team picked up a verbal commitment from Pacific Hills (Los Angeles) guard Namon Wright.

Wright, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, is a four-star talent and ranked No. 87 overall in the class of 2014 by Rivals.

As has become common, Wright — using a minimalist approach — announced his decision on Twitter and changed his bio to reflect the fact that he’s a "Mizzou commit."

Wright also had offers from Arizona State, Florida State, Gonzaga, Oregon, Southern California, New Mexico State, Utah, Arizona, UCLA and UTEP, according to various recruiting services.

Here’s his junior season mix tape:

Wright becomes the second commitment for the Tigers’ 2014 class, joining Effingham County (Springfield, Ga.) power forward Jakeenan Gant — a 6-8 four-star recruit who is ranked No. 47 in the nation by Rivals.

Back in June, another Los Angeles shooting guard, Chris Sandifer (6-6, 190) committed to Missouri, but now he apparently has reopened his recruitment.
