Baby powder found after KC hazmat call

Updated: 2013-09-27T20:14:02Z

Kansas City fire investigators determined Friday that white powder in an envelope mailed to a Kansas City business was baby powder.

Firefighters were called about 12:30 p.m. Friday to the building at 4700 Belleview Ave. after a worker opened the envelope.

Hazardous materials specialists were dispatched and made the determination that the substance was not harmful.
