21-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man arrested in Overland Park murder

Police have arrested a 21-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man on suspicion of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Brandon L. Holmes.

Overland Park police arrested the man about 8 p.m. Monday and booked him into the Johnson County jail.

The arrest was related to the fatal shooting of Holmes, said Officer Gary Mason, a spokesman for Overland Park police.

A roommate found Holmes shot to death at his residence in the 9100 block of Robinson Street Friday afternoon. Police said he died from a gunshot wound to his chest.
