Two more youths have been charged in connection with the robbery of an 85-year-old Grandview veteran earlier this month.

Five youths now have been charged, as well as three adults.

Authorities said a large number of people entered the veteran’s home in the 11900 block of Belmont Avenue on Sept. 10, stealing several items before returning the following Tuesday. A rifle and two handguns were stolen as well as an ammunition rifle and other items.

Surveillance cameras captured the incidents, and several intruders were identified from the video.

At one point the 85-year-old resident was struck on the head when he resisted.

The fourth juvenile charged is 16 years old. Authorities charged him Thursday with first-degree robbery, second-degree robbery, two counts of first-degree burglary and two counts of armed criminal action.

The fifth young person also is 16. He was charged Friday with two counts of first-degree burglary, one count each of first- and second-degree robbery, and two counts of armed criminal action.
