Cut-off crossword

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my years talking to readers, it’s that you don’t mess with the crossword puzzle. Any time there’s an error, be it in the layout or — heaven forefend — a mistake in a clue, I’m sure to hear about it.

Something like that happened in the 913 news magazine, which is distributed in Johnson County copies of the paper on Wednesdays. The clues to the crossword puzzle on Page 22 are cut off at the top, making it impossible to read a full line of type.

I’m attaching it here in a downloadable PDF, formatted for printing on home computers. I’ll get with the editor of 913 to publish the clues that were cut off in next week’s print edition.
