How’d you like to be part of a world record?

Ethan Bryan will be at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday, looking for people to play catch with him. He’ll bring the baseball and an extra glove (unless you’re a lefty).

For $1, you can join the fun. You’re no doubt asking why it’ll cost four quarters to take part in the event. Bryan plans to donate all the money raised to Team Not For Sale (http://www.notforsalecampaign.org/team-nfs/), which is dedicated to bringing freedom to those trapped in modern-day slavery.

In an effort to raise as much money as possible, Bryan plans to go for a world record with the help of RecordSetter.com. It would be the “Largest Game of Catch with One Person.”

On his blog, Bryan writes: “Everyone with whom I ‘play catch’ — I throw them the ball and they throw it back — will be asked to write their name down on an official list, which will then be submitted along with video and photographic evidence in hopes of setting another catch playing ‘world record.’ ”

You can read more on Bryan’s quest on his blog.
